Louvre Abu Dhabi continues to deliver exceptional experiences that blend art, knowledge, and family engagement through interactive programmes and innovative activities designed for all age groups.
With 2026 designated as the “Year of Family,” the museum is inviting families to share meaningful moments under its iconic dome in an environment that encourages bonding, learning, enjoyment, and collective discovery.
Maral Bedoyan, Education and Learning Resources Manager at Louvre Abu Dhabi, told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the curated range of activities reflects the museum’s commitment to strengthening its role as a welcoming cultural destination. She noted that it aims to provide families with quality time together while fostering learning and interaction in an inspiring cultural setting, in line with the UAE’s Year of Family objectives.
She added that the programmes are designed for all ages and include family weekends, after-school activities, and self-guided experiences such as the interactive digital treasure hunt The Secret of the Dome Stars, as well as immersive experiences and storytelling-based family tours.
Bedoyan also highlighted that the museum is offering more than 120 days of family-focused activities this year, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and varied programming that encourages shared learning and cultural engagement throughout the year.
She pointed out one of the key new additions this year: Breezi floating breathwork sessions, created in collaboration with Breezi and held beneath the museum’s iconic dome. Led by trained instructors, the sessions combine breathing exercises with immersive soundscapes, allowing participants aged 12 and above to float and follow guided practices designed to promote relaxation and focus in a unique setting.
These sessions will run from 1–3 May and 22–24 May 2026, including sunset and evening slots. As part of its wellness programming, the museum will also host a free screening of the Oscar-winning animated film Inside Out on 2 May at the Louvre Abu Dhabi Theatre, open to families upon prior registration.
She further noted that, in line with the Year of Family, family weekend activities will continue throughout the year, alongside expanded seasonal camps in summer and winter, with a stronger emphasis on intergenerational participation and shared experiences, reinforcing the museum’s role as a hub for families and communities.
