du today announced that du Tech’s National Hypercloud has received official certification and endorsement from the UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC).
This certification positions the National Hypercloud as the first compliant, secure, and sovereign cloud infrastructure approved for deployment across both public and private sectors in the UAE.
It allows government entities and customers to run all workloads—except those classified as Secret and Top Secret—while remaining aligned with the UAE CSC’s National Cloud Security Policy.
The recognition confirms that the National Hypercloud meets national requirements for data residency and protection, helping overcome the long-standing “trust barrier” that has slowed cloud adoption among government bodies and critical infrastructure organisations.
This achievement reflects the combination of du Tech’s local expertise with world-class hyperscale technology, alongside the UAE government’s commitment to digital sovereignty.
Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du, said: “The UAE Cyber Security Council’s certification of our National Hypercloud platform underscores our commitment to strengthening the country’s digital sovereignty and cybersecurity leadership. We aim to remove obstacles to cloud adoption by setting a new benchmark for secure, sovereign cloud infrastructure. This also positions du Tech as a key strategic partner in advancing the UAE’s broader digital and cybersecurity ambitions, while maintaining global connectivity and innovation standards.”
Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, stated that this milestone is part of the Cyber Security Council’s ongoing efforts to enhance national digital sovereignty and reinforce the country’s leadership in cybersecurity. He noted that it addresses challenges related to cloud adoption and establishes new benchmarks for secure and sovereign cloud infrastructure in line with the National Cloud Security Policy, while supporting the broader national cybersecurity ecosystem.
He added that these initiatives uphold the highest standards of innovation and global connectivity, strengthen the UAE’s ability to keep pace with technological advancements, and ensure the protection of national data and critical interests. They also reinforce the country’s position as a global hub for technology and innovation, boosting international confidence in its digital infrastructure.
The endorsement comes at a pivotal time as organisations across healthcare, finance, government, and critical infrastructure sectors increasingly seek cloud solutions that deliver enterprise-grade capabilities without compromising on security or regulatory compliance.
du Tech’s National Hypercloud addresses these needs by offering a locally operated, internationally standardised cloud environment fully aligned with UAE cybersecurity frameworks.
With hyperscale-level capabilities and the assurance of local operation within UAE borders, the platform ensures complete data residency while delivering the performance, scalability, and innovation required for digital transformation.
