Aldar Properties has committed AED 100 million to the “Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans,” launched by Awqaf Abu Dhabi to provide sustainable, long-term support for orphans across the UAE.
The initiative converts contributions into investment assets, with returns used to fund orphans’ education, healthcare, and living needs, ensuring continued impact over time. The announcement coincides with the UAE’s Year of Family, highlighting the importance of family cohesion, and was made on Zayed Humanitarian Day at the Zayed National Museum. Senior officials present included Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Aldar; Talal Al Dhiyebi, Group CEO of Aldar; Abdul Hamid Mohammed Saeed, Chairman of Awqaf Abu Dhabi; and other key figures from Erth Zayed Philanthropies and the Presidential Court.
Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak said the endowment reflects the UAE’s values of compassion, responsibility, and social cohesion, while Talal Al Dhiyebi emphasized Aldar’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and resilient society through sustainable support for communities.
The initiative also honors the legacy of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, reinforcing the UAE’s longstanding tradition of humanitarianism and solidarity.
