Development Holding Company (DHC) has completed its acquisition of Massaleh Investment Company, strengthening its investment platform as it expands its long-term growth strategy and aligns with Kuwait’s Vision 2035.
The transaction positions Massaleh Investment Company as DHC’s dedicated financial investment arm, allowing the Group to broaden its investment capabilities while leveraging more than 16 years of experience across financial markets and regulated industries.

Announced during a press conference in Kuwait, the acquisition forms part of DHC’s strategy to diversify its portfolio, enhance operational businesses, and support the country’s economic development agenda.
Talal Al Ajmi, Chief Executive Officer of Development Holding Company, described the acquisition as a significant milestone for the Group.
“This acquisition represents more than a strategic investment—it marks the beginning of a new phase for Development Holding. Massaleh Investment Company will serve as the Group’s financial investment arm, enabling us to diversify our investment platform while capitalizing on more than 16 years of experience across financial markets and regulated industries. We firmly believe the private sector plays a vital role in achieving the objectives of New Kuwait Vision 2035 through innovation, investment, and economic diversification.”
Mohammed Al Jouan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Massaleh Investment Company, said the deal comes at a time when Kuwait’s regulatory environment and economic indicators continue to strengthen, creating new opportunities for investors.
He added that the company will focus on identifying high-quality investment opportunities, developing innovative business models, and creating sustainable value beyond traditional investment activities, while acknowledging the efforts of the Capital Markets Authority and the Central Bank of Kuwait in promoting a transparent and well-regulated financial market.
Othman Al Awadhi, General Manager of Development Holding Company, said the acquisition marks a new chapter for the Group’s investment strategy, with an emphasis on attracting quality investment opportunities and building strategic partnerships grounded in governance and institutional excellence.
Mohannad Youssef, Director of Media & Public Relations, noted that the success of an acquisition should be measured by the long-term impact it delivers rather than its size.
Development Holding Company operates across a diversified portfolio spanning financial services, retail, food and beverage, perfumery, and technology. Its brands include VI Markets, The Fragrance Kitchen (TFK), 20 Grams Specialty Coffee, and Canteen Kuwait.
The acquisition further strengthens DHC’s position as a diversified investment group focused on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and supporting Kuwait’s long-term economic ambitions under Vision 2035.
