Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara is proud to announce it has been awarded one MICHELIN Key in the MICHELIN Guide’s first-ever hotel edition. The accolade places the iconic desert retreat among some of the world’s most exceptional hotels.

The MICHELIN Key recognises hotels that excel in architecture, interior design, service, and personality. Winners are selected through meticulous, anonymous evaluations by the MICHELIN Guide’s global team of hotel experts. This new distinction represents a significant evolution in the Guide’s hospitality recognition, akin to the world-renowned MICHELIN Stars awarded to outstanding restaurants.

Nestled deep in the legendary Rub’ al Khali, the Empty Quarter, Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara is a secluded sanctuary where luxury, authenticity, and cultural heritage converge. Surrounded by endless golden dunes and profound silence, the resort offers a rare opportunity to disconnect from the modern world and reconnect with nature, tradition, and self.

Guests can enjoy a collection of private pool villas, immersive desert activities, award-winning dining, and the signature Anantara Spa, which blends Arabian rituals with Thai wellness techniques. The resort also features Ezba, a cultural and educational centre celebrating Emirati Bedouin heritage while promoting sustainability, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.

“We are delighted to be recognised with one MICHELIN Key in the inaugural edition of MICHELIN Guide Hotels,” said Jean Paul Dantil, General Manager of Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara. “This honour is a testament to the dedication of our team and our ongoing commitment to offering meaningful experiences that celebrate the beauty and heritage of the UAE.”

The MICHELIN Key arrives just as travellers begin planning their winter getaways, highlighting the hotel as one of the most memorable destinations for those seeking mindful luxury in an extraordinary setting.
