Saudi Arabia Launches Package Visa to Streamline Tourist Travel to the Kingdom

Saudi Arabia is advancing its tourism transformation with the launch of a Package Visa pilot, designed to simplify access to the Kingdom for international visitors through approved travel and tourism service providers across selected markets.

The initiative allows eligible travelers to obtain their tourist visa as part of an integrated travel package, combining visa services with key travel arrangements such as flights, licensed accommodation, and additional tourism experiences.

The Package Visa is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the Insurance Authority, supporting Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts under Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance tourism accessibility and visitor experiences.

Building on the success of initiatives such as the tourist e-Visa, visa on arrival, and Stopover Transit Visa, the Kingdom continues to introduce flexible travel solutions that support the growth of its tourism sector.

Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb

Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb highlighted that the initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to creating a more seamless and connected journey for visitors while strengthening partnerships with the travel and tourism industry.

Through the Package Visa, eligible travelers can book their journey through qualified service providers and access packages that include round-trip flights, accommodation at licensed hospitality facilities, electronic visa applications, and optional experiences such as events, activities, and attractions.

For tourism providers, the initiative creates new opportunities to develop higher-value travel packages, improve customer convenience, and encourage longer stays and deeper engagement with Saudi Arabia’s destinations.

To ensure quality and reliability, participating providers must meet strict requirements, including advanced digital platforms, technical capabilities, and 24/7 customer support services.

The Package Visa represents another milestone in Saudi Arabia’s ongoing tourism evolution — making travel more accessible, strengthening industry partnerships, and offering visitors a more seamless way to experience the Kingdom.
