Meta Platforms, Inc. has begun construction on a $10-billion data centre in Indiana to support its expanding artificial intelligence operations. The new facility is planned to deliver 1 gigawatt of power, enough to supply electricity to roughly 800,000 homes, according to US grid operators.
This project is part of Meta’s broader $600-billion US investment over the next three years, aimed at strengthening infrastructure, creating jobs, and expanding its network of data centres nationwide to meet growing demand for AI computing and digital services.
