Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global technology ecosystem, has announced that startups within its community have collectively raised more than $2.7 billion (AED 9.9 billion) in funding and generated $1.5 billion (AED 5.4 billion) in revenue by the end of 2025. This milestone highlights Abu Dhabi’s growing position as a leading hub for high-growth technology companies.

The figures were released in Hub71’s 2025 Impact Report, which shows a maturing startup ecosystem with stronger access to capital, customers, and global markets. In 2025 alone, Hub71 startups secured $599 million (AED 2.2 billion) in funding and recorded $175 million (AED 645 million) in revenue, continuing a steady upward growth trend.

Since its launch in 2019, Hub71 has expanded its community to 390 startups, including 295 supported through its programmes. These startups are connected with investors, corporates, regulators, talent, and strategic partners, reflecting Abu Dhabi’s broader strategy to build a diversified, innovation-driven economy.

Startup demand also surged in 2025, with more than 5,000 applications submitted—an increase of 62% year-on-year. During the same period, 52 startups joined the ecosystem, underscoring rising international interest in Abu Dhabi as a base for scaling businesses across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

Beyond funding, Hub71 startups secured $244 million (AED 897 million) in corporate deals between 2022 and 2025, including $37 million (AED 137 million) in 2025, further strengthening commercial partnerships and market access opportunities.

Hub71 leadership noted that the ecosystem’s growth reflects Abu Dhabi’s progress in building a competitive, innovation-led economy that supports global technology companies in scaling and expanding.

Immersion Programme in 2025 supported international startups entering Abu Dhabi, offering guidance on market entry, regulation, and commercialization

In 2025, Hub71 also strengthened its international footprint through partnerships and engagement with venture capital firms, corporates, and government entities across markets including Hong Kong, Japan, Portugal, India, Ireland, and the United States.

The ecosystem introduced its Immersion Programme in 2025 to support international startups entering Abu Dhabi, offering guidance on market entry, regulation, and commercialization. The programme hosted cohorts from Hong Kong and Japan in collaboration with partners such as HSITP, Cyberport, MTR Lab, and JETRO.

Hub71 also expanded its sector-focused clusters, including Hub71+ Life Sciences, alongside existing verticals in AI, ClimateTech, and Digital Assets, aligning with Abu Dhabi’s long-term economic priorities.

Overall, the 2025 Impact Report highlights Hub71’s growing role in driving innovation, attracting global talent, and enabling startups to scale internationally from Abu Dhabi while contributing to the emirate’s knowledge-based economy.
