The UK government has raised the terrorism threat level from “substantial” to “severe,” meaning a terrorist attack is now considered highly likely within the next six months, according to the BBC.
The move follows a stabbing incident in north London on Wednesday in which two men were injured. The Metropolitan Police is treating the attack as a terrorist incident.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood urged the public to remain vigilant in their daily lives and to report any concerns to the police as the threat level increases.
