Unifying Collective Good for the UAE
Unifying Collective Good for the UAE

Majra, the National CSR Fund, is preparing to launch the 2025 Impact Summit on 27 November in Abu Dhabi, the first national platform dedicated to unifying CSR and impact leadership across the UAE. Held under the theme “Unifying Collective Good for the UAE,” the Summit aims to reshape how social responsibility is delivered, measured, and embedded into national development.

The event will bring together leaders from government entities, private-sector organisations, academia, and civil society to advance a shared approach to sustainable impact—one rooted in clear metrics and measurable outcomes for society and the environment.

During a media briefing at Majra’s headquarters, Sarah Shaw, CEO of Majra, described the Summit as a strategic milestone in building a fully integrated national CSR framework.
“We seek to transform good into results measured by real impact on people’s lives and communities,” she said. “Our goal is to ensure that private-sector commitments translate into long-term national value aligned with the UAE’s comprehensive development goals.”

Towards an Impact-Driven CSR Model

The Summit represents a significant shift from traditional CSR practices toward a results-based system focused on accountability and partnerships. This aligns with the UAE leadership’s vision to strengthen a sustainable community impact ecosystem and accelerate the nation’s transition to an impact economy.

Through its platforms and programming, the Summit aims to expand the concept of social impact—helping companies move from isolated CSR initiatives to nationally aligned, measurable outcomes that support sustainable development while delivering both social and economic value.

A Major Gathering of Impact Leaders

The event will feature:

  • More than 25 speakers across four main panel discussions
  • 25 interactive talks on the “Impact in Action” stage
  • 25 exhibiting projects and organisations
  • Over 400 participants from government, business, academia, civil society, and the investment community

Attendees will include senior government officials, CEOs of national and global companies, academics, civil society organisations, leaders representing people of determination, and impact-focused investors. Together, they will explore pathways to building a UAE impact economy, strengthening metrics for impact measurement, and shaping the future of CSR nationwide.

Extensive Cross-Sector Partnerships

The Summit is supported by an expansive network of strategic partners across government and industry, reinforcing the UAE’s collaborative approach to social responsibility.

Government partners include the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, Ministry of Health and Prevention, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Sports, Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, and all seven Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the UAE.

Strategic corporate and government partners include Al Tamimi, Nestlé, National Bonds, Social Contributions Authority (Ma’an), Jood – Dubai Social Contributions Authority, UN Global Compact, and the Emirates Environmental Group.

Executive partners supporting the Summit include Desert Group, Al Rais Travels & Cruises, The Waste Lab, RBT Collective, Uber, and Careem.

Programme Highlights

Panel discussions will explore key topics shaping the future of CSR and impact work in the UAE, including:

  • The UAE CSR Ecosystem
  • Roadmap to the Impact Economy: Partnerships for Good & NPPs
  • Measuring Impact: From Intent to Accountability
  • The Future of CSR & Shared Value

The Summit will also feature innovative spaces designed to inspire and empower people of determination, offering sensory experiences and showcasing projects they lead.

Adding a cultural dimension to the event, Emirati musician Dana Al-Kathiri will deliver a live performance titled “Legacy of the Founder,” reflecting on the nation’s heritage and values.
