The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the announcement by Lebanon and Israel of a trilateral framework agreement, facilitated and supported by the United States, and praised the diplomatic efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in helping secure the agreement.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed hope that the agreement would mark a positive step toward strengthening regional stability. The Ministry underscored the importance of sustained international coordination to prevent further escalation and reduce the humanitarian and security challenges facing the region.
MoFA reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Lebanon and its support during this pivotal period, including backing the country’s efforts to ensure that weapons remain under the exclusive authority of the state and to dismantle terrorist organisations. The Ministry described these measures as essential to reinforcing Lebanon’s national security and long-term stability.
The Ministry also reiterated the UAE’s steadfast commitment to Lebanon’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, while reaffirming its support for the Lebanese people in their pursuit of security, stability, development, and prosperity.
