Saudi Venture Capital (SVC) has announced its investment in the Growth Catalyst Fund, a private equity fund managed by Growth Catalyst Investment Company, which is licensed by the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
According to an official statement, the fund is focused on investing in companies at the growth and expansion stage across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region. It aims to provide both financial backing and operational expertise to help businesses achieve sustainable growth, improve efficiency, and enhance their competitiveness. The fund targets key sectors including healthcare, education, consumer goods, defence industries, environment and renewable energy, as well as food and beverage, with a focus on high-potential, innovation-driven opportunities.

SVC Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer Nora Alsarhan said: “The investment in Growth Catalyst Fund reflects SVC’s ongoing role in strengthening the private equity ecosystem in the Kingdom, particularly in the growth stage, where demand from scalable companies continues to rise. Supporting fund managers in this segment helps accelerate the development of national companies capable of competing regionally and globally, in line with the Kingdom’s economic transformation under Vision 2030.”
Established in 2018, SVC is a subsidiary of the Small and Medium Enterprises Bank under the National Development Fund. It aims to stimulate and sustain financing for startups and SMEs across all stages, from pre-seed to pre-IPO, through investments in funds and direct investment activities.
