Sketchers picks Dubai as centre for Middle East operations

American company Sketchers has chosen Dubai for its operations’ centre in the Middle East.

During a visit to the emirate, Michael Greenberg, President of the company which specialises in sports clothing and footwear, said choosing Dubai as the base for the company’s operations in the region was a strategic decision based on Dubai’s attractiveness to investors, its accelerated economic growth, and its ability to keep up with international fashion trends.

Greenberg added that he is impressed by Dubai’s cultural and urban development and its commercial markets and centres, which are frequented by people of different nationalities and ages, reflecting the speedy growth of emerging economic entities.
