His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah has issued Amiri Decree no. 10 for 2014 on the establishment of a media office for the government of Fujairah.
According to article 2 of the decree, the office – to be called the Media Office of the Government of Fujairah – shall have a corporate body status and shall report to the Ruler’s Diwan and shall be referred to, thereinafter, as the Office.
Article 3 defines the Office’s tasks which include providing media outlets with the news related to the Ruler and the Government, as well as providing media coverage of different activities, organising press releases and liaising with the media for interviews with the Ruler, Crown Prince and other officials.
The office will be managed by a director who shall be appointed by the Ruler and who shall be given the necessary powers to manage its day-today business and to pursue its objectives.
The decree shall be effective from the date of issuance and shall be published in the official gazette.
