Under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media has introduced a wide-ranging package of incentives aimed at boosting tourism, attracting investment, and strengthening the sector’s competitiveness in Ajman.
The initiative reflects the Crown Prince’s vision to enhance the tourism business environment and ensure the sector remains resilient and sustainable. It includes a series of exemptions and incentives targeting key areas such as licensing, operations, and marketing, helping tourism businesses improve efficiency and competitiveness.
Among the measures are a six-month deferral of tourism fee payments starting March 1, 2026, along with exemptions from late payment penalties during licence renewals within the same period. Additional benefits include waivers on event permit fees and licence renewal charges.
The package also introduces a flexible, interest-free instalment plan for dues, free entry to museums until the end of 2026, and exemptions for tourism establishments from fees related to participating in exhibitions and promotional events organised or supported by the Department.
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said the initiative is designed to directly stimulate tourism activity by supporting businesses, improving service quality, increasing occupancy rates, extending visitor stays, and boosting tourism spending.
He added that the incentives enhance Ajman’s appeal as an investment destination by lowering operational costs and improving the regulatory environment, thereby encouraging new investments in tourism, culture, and entertainment while supporting sustainable economic growth.
Mahmood Khaleel Al Hashmi noted that the tourism sector is a key pillar of Ajman’s development strategy, emphasizing that empowering tourism businesses is an investment in the emirate’s future. He reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to working closely with private sector partners to strengthen Ajman’s global tourism profile.
Al Hashmi added that the initiative represents a comprehensive strategy to stimulate investment and tourism activity, reinforcing Ajman’s position as an attractive business and travel destination.
The Department highlighted that free museum entry will enhance the emirate’s cultural appeal, while removing participation fees for exhibitions and workshops will create new marketing opportunities and broaden access to international markets.
Overall, the initiative underscores Ajman’s commitment to launching impactful programmes that support the resilience and sustainable growth of its tourism sector, in line with its vision to strengthen its standing as a leading regional and global tourism and investment destination.
