Al-Ardah Governorate, located east of the Jazan Region, continues to attract visitors throughout the year with its scenic mountains, valleys, forests, parks and natural viewpoints. The area has become especially appealing during the current rainy season, when the highlands are transformed by lush landscapes and enhanced natural beauty, further strengthening its position as a key tourism destination in the region.

Among the governorate’s notable attractions is Al-Ardah Overlook, which was established in 1431 AH and has become one of Jazan’s leading mountain tourism landmarks. Covering an area of 288,000 square metres and developed at a cost of SAR5 million, the overlook provides sweeping panoramic views of Al-Ardah Governorate, as well as surrounding villages and centres.

The destination welcomes visitors year-round, offering a unique setting that combines natural scenery with recreational opportunities and outdoor experiences.
Jazan Region Municipality, through Al-Ardah Governorate, is currently implementing rehabilitation and enhancement works at the overlook as part of an ongoing development project. The initiative aims to improve tourism facilities, upgrade visitor services and further develop the site to meet growing demand for mountain and nature-based tourism experiences.
