Tuwaiq Academy, in collaboration with Google Cloud, has launched the AI & Cloud Champions Program, an initiative designed to strengthen national digital capabilities and equip local talent with the skills needed to build innovative solutions powered by artificial intelligence and cloud computing technologies.
The programme was announced during Google Cloud’s annual AI Live + Labs event in Riyadh, reflecting the ongoing strategic partnership between the two organisations and their shared commitment to advancing the Kingdom’s digital transformation agenda.
The initiative aims to expand Saudi Arabia’s ecosystem of developers, technology professionals, and startups by delivering structured training in AI and cloud computing, alongside practical, hands-on learning opportunities. Participants will gain access to sandbox environments, cloud service credits, and vouchers to support professional certification exams, helping bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application.
Supported by a grant from Google Cloud’s economic and community development team, the programme will run from June to December and target a wide audience, including students, graduates, working professionals, entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts.
The initiative is structured around three core tracks. The first focuses on specialised training and certification pathways designed to strengthen participants’ expertise in AI applications within cloud environments. The second track provides immersive learning experiences to build practical, job-ready skills in emerging technologies.
The third track is dedicated to supporting more than 60 technology startups through intensive mentorship sessions, technical guidance, and advisory support aimed at accelerating their growth and improving their operational capabilities.
In addition, the programme will host a series of workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions led by industry experts, offering participants deeper insights into advanced AI and cloud computing use cases.
Through this initiative, Tuwaiq Academy and Google Cloud aim to build a stronger pipeline of local talent and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s position as a growing hub for digital innovation and emerging technologies.
