Deloitte invests in its Riyadh Cloud Center of Excellence to empower businesses with cutting-edge cloud solutions

Deloitte, a global leader in professional services and digital transformation, today announced a significant expansion of its Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) in Saudi Arabia, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating the Kingdom’s digital ambitions. With the highly anticipated launch of Microsoft and AWS data centers in Saudi Arabia during 2026, Deloitte is investing in its Riyadh-based capabilities to help organizations across the Kingdom harness the full potential of next-generation cloud services.

The imminent arrival of hyperscale data centers from Microsoft and AWS, alongside established offerings from Google Cloud and Oracle, marks a transformative milestone for Saudi Arabia’s digital ecosystem. These developments will enable public and private sector organizations to adopt secure, compliant, and high-performance cloud solutions, ranging from sovereign private cloud environments to advanced Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms such as Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) solutions, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), while ensuring data residency and regulatory alignment within the Kingdom.

Deloitte’s Cloud Center of Excellence in Riyadh brings together deep expertise in strategy, architecture, engineering, and managed services. The firm’s teams are equipped to guide clients through every stage of their adoption journey, from readiness assessment and migration to optimization and innovation, leveraging best-in-class capabilities across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Deloitte capabilities include:

  • Cloud migration & modernization: Comprehensive services covering assessment, planning, execution, and optimization for public, private, and sovereign cloud environments, tailored to leverage the new local data center infrastructure.
  • Engineering excellence: Advanced cloud engineering, automation, and integration of AI and GPU-accelerated workloads to support mission-critical and data-intensive applications.
  • Cloud cost management & governance: Industry-leading cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) practices to help clients monitor, manage, and optimize cloud spend, providing transparency and control over costs while aligning with business objectives.
  • Regulatory compliance: In-depth understanding of Saudi Arabia’s evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring all cloud solutions meet stringent data sovereignty, privacy, and governance requirements.
  • SaaS enablement: Expertise in deploying and optimizing leading SaaS solutions, including CRM, GPT companions, Office 365, and industry-specific platforms, to drive productivity and innovation.
  • Training & upskilling: Dedicated programs to develop local talent, equipping Saudi professionals with the latest cloud technologies and methodologies.
  • Sector-specific solutions: Tailored strategies for key industries such as financial services, energy, and the public sector, addressing unique challenges and opportunities within the Saudi market.

“Deloitte is proud to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by empowering organizations to capitalize on the unprecedented opportunities presented by the arrival of hyperscale data centers from Microsoft & AWS and existing offerings from Google and Oracle,” said Jamil Hamati, Partner and Engineering Leader at Deloitte Middle East.

“Our investment in Riyadh demonstrates our commitment to helping clients navigate their cloud options, from sovereign private solutions to advanced SaaS adoption. Crucially, our expertise in cloud cost management and governance through FinOps sets us apart, enabling clients to control and optimize their cloud spend from day one.” Said Santosh Shivashankar, Partner in Engineering and CCoE Leader in KSA at Deloitte Middle East.

Adding to this, Peter Stojkovski, Partner in Engineering at Deloitte Middle East, commented: “Engineering secure, compliant, and scalable cloud solutions within Saudi Arabia’s borders is critical to unlocking the full value of digital transformation. Our teams are dedicated to delivering innovative architectures that empower clients to thrive in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.”

As the demand for public cloud, sovereign cloud, and SaaS solutions accelerates, Deloitte remains committed to delivering trusted, secure, and innovative services that enable clients to leverage the new wave of cloud infrastructure and drive sustainable growth.
