The Financial Academy has officially launched the Women Leadership Development initiative, a strategic national programme designed to strengthen and expand women’s leadership capabilities across Saudi Arabia’s financial services sector. The launch brought together senior women leaders, regulatory authorities, financial institutions, as well as academic and strategic partners, reflecting broad institutional support for the initiative.

Financial Academy CEO Mana Alkhamsan stated that the programme has been developed in partnership with London Business School and the Centre for Governance. He explained that it offers an integrated leadership development pathway that combines executive education, structured professional mentoring, and dedicated preparation for board-level participation, aiming to equip participants with the skills required for senior decision-making roles.

The initiative is designed to benefit more than 2,000 women leaders across the financial services ecosystem, supporting talent development at scale and strengthening the pipeline of future executives in the sector.
Alkhamsan added that the programme aligns closely with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives, particularly those focused on increasing women’s participation in the labour market and enhancing diversity within key economic sectors, including finance. It also supports the broader goals of the Financial Sector Development Program, which seeks to build a more competitive, inclusive, and resilient financial industry in the Kingdom.
