Sharjah Media City (Shams) has launched a new initiative, “Enta Al Sanad,” aimed at empowering Emirati entrepreneurs to enter the media and content creation sector and turn their creative ideas into sustainable businesses.
The initiative reflects Shams’ commitment to building a strong media entrepreneurship ecosystem and offering flexible, practical solutions that support individuals in launching their own projects, further strengthening Sharjah’s position as a regional hub for the creative economy.
The “Enta Al Sanad” package provides tailored licensing options specifically for UAE nationals, allowing flexibility based on business needs and activity types. It also enables participants to operate within an official legal framework while benefiting from Shams’ integrated support services, helping them scale and grow their ventures.
Rashid Abdulla Al Obad, Director General of Sharjah Media City (Shams), said the initiative aligns with Shams’ vision to empower national talent and support Emirati entrepreneurs in the media and creative industries. He noted that it addresses key challenges faced by those starting their entrepreneurial journey.
He added that the package offers simplified procedures and subsidised costs, giving UAE nationals the opportunity to transform their creativity into formal ventures. He emphasised that the initiative represents both a vote of confidence in the country’s youth and an investment in the future of the UAE’s media sector.
Sharjah Media City encouraged UAE nationals interested in launching media or creative projects to take advantage of the initiative as a step toward building sustainable businesses that contribute to the growth of the national media landscape.
