Sheraa Launches AED 5 Million ‘Entrepreneurs Resilience Fund’ to Support Startups and SMEs

Under the directives of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) has launched the Entrepreneurs Resilience Fund, a fast-tracked initiative designed to provide financial, operational, and marketing support to startups and SMEs based in Sharjah.

The fund aims to help founders navigate evolving market conditions, maintain business continuity, and strengthen operational stability. It targets key sectors such as manufacturing, food security, and healthcare, which are essential to economic resilience and stability.

Aligned with the “Proud of UAE” campaign, the initiative contributes to wider national efforts to support economic sustainability and business continuity. Applications are now open, with a streamlined evaluation process designed to ensure rapid funding decisions and timely assistance.

The Entrepreneurs Resilience Fund offers equity-free, non-repayable grants, along with tailored support programmes and opportunities for increased market visibility. Sheraa plans to mobilise up to AED 5 million in collaboration with strategic partners from both the public and private sectors.

The initiative is structured around a collaborative ecosystem involving organisations such as Beeah Group, CE-Ventures, RAKBANK, Careem, Shurooq, and others, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening Sharjah’s entrepreneurial landscape.

Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi emphasised that Sharjah’s vision, aligned with the UAE’s broader direction, focuses on building a resilient and innovation-driven economy. She highlighted Sheraa’s role in equipping founders with the tools needed to adapt to change and continue generating long-term economic value.

Other officials, including Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and Najla Al Midfa, underscored the importance of supporting SMEs as a core pillar of economic growth and resilience, particularly during periods of uncertainty.

The fund also includes advisory services, workshops, mentorship, and access to partner resources, helping startups strengthen capabilities and scale effectively. It builds on Sheraa’s ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurship through funding, programmes, and ecosystem partnerships, reinforcing Sharjah’s position as a hub for innovation and sustainable business growth.
