Etisalat revealed today a host of futuristic services that will be introduced at GITEX Technology Week 2014, in support of the event as its ‘Smart Experience Partner’ at Dubai World Trade Centre from October 12th-16th.

In partnership with DWTC, as the show’s Smart Experience Partner, Etisalat will support the event with a seamless registration process – one aspect of the show’s new ‘On Track for the Smart Experience’ initiative that aims to evolve the attendee experience by integrating the latest ICT innovations such as smart networking and interactive navigation and marketing.

Etisalat is powering the entire GITEX venue with its high-speed and super-quality wireless, wireline Internet connectivity and data services, which allows visitors to download interactive GITEX applications free of charge.

Importantly, the company is extending its support for efficient and intuitive visitor registration process with adequate and smart solutions and equipment.

Etisalat is the first telecom operator in the region to deploy an mPOS (Mobile Point of Sales) product for accepting payments. mPOS service will be used at the event registration to enable show visitors to purchase GITEX passes in the most convenient and secured format. It will enable attendees to conveniently pay using their credit, debit or prepaid cards.

Etisalat’s new BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) Beacon service will enable exhibitors to showcase their products in the most innovative and interactive format to visitors. It enables exhibitors to communicate with stand visitors by sending interactive communication messages directly to the handsets of the visitors in close proximity to their stands.

Etisalat’s displays at GITEX Technology Week is a window to the future of smart cities, enabled by smart solutions and smart technologies that will improve the way people live and work.

On Etisalat’s own stand, the company promises to wow visitors with a demonstration of Etisalat’s smart apps and solutions that will drive unlimited possibilities of the “smart” future. mPOS or Mobile Cashier service and BLE Beacon will also be used across its dynamic and highly interactive zones to provide visitors a hands-on experience of a futuristic smart lifestyle, touching all aspects including business, healthcare, education, retail, banking and transportation.

GITEX Technology Week, now in its 34th year, attracts more than 135,000 trade visitors every year from 140 countries to explore technology solutions represented by more than 3,500 companies.
