The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expressed deep concern over the continuing military escalation in the region, urging all parties involved to exercise restraint and prioritize de-escalation. The Kingdom emphasized the importance of supporting mediation initiatives led by Pakistan, along with broader diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a sustainable political resolution. It warned that further escalation would only heighten tensions and instability, outcomes that serve neither regional nor global interests.
In its statement, the ministry also highlighted the critical need to restore international maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to its normal conditions as they existed prior to February 28. It underscored the necessity of ensuring the safe, secure, and uninterrupted passage of vessels through this vital waterway, free from any restrictions or threats that could disrupt global trade and energy supplies.
