Gilbert Boustany is the Vice President of Project Delivery at Chalhoub Group leading the architecture, design, and project delivery practice. He is part of the executive leadership shaping large scale capital investment and development strategies across the MENA region, with direct involvement in major commercial real estate and retail expansion programs.

In his role, Gilbert leads regional project delivery across retail, commercial, and industrial sectors, spanning flagship mall environments, high profile department stores, corporate headquarters, logistics hubs, and warehouse developments. Over the past two decades, he has been directly involved in some of the region’s most significant commercial developments, contributing to expenditure planning, budget structuring, end-to-end strategy, and long-term asset positioning.

Gilbert plays a pivotal role in the onboarding and regional deployment of international brands. Working closely with global stakeholders and executive leadership, he supports market entry strategies, localization frameworks, rollout governance, and operational scaling across multiple countries. His involvement extends from early-stage feasibility and design positioning through construction delivery and portfolio expansion.

As a senior leader, he oversees multidisciplinary teams across design, engineering, commercial, and operational functions, driving stakeholder alignment, resource optimization, and conflict resolution across complex, multi market programs. His leadership combines commercial acumen with technical depth, ensuring that investment decisions translate into sustainable, high performing built environments.

Gilbert’s career within Chalhoub Group spans more than sixteen years, during which he progressed from Head of Projects to General Manager and now Vice President. He began his professional journey in architecture and interior design in Lebanon and the UAE, later moving into design leadership roles before transitioning into executive project and investment leadership.

Gilbert is regularly invited to speak at universities and leading industry events across the region, where he shares insights on project leadership, capital deployment, brand expansion, and the evolution of retail and commercial development in the Middle East.

He holds a master’s degree in interior architecture from Université Saint Esprit de Kaslik and is a certified Project Management Professional and LEED Green Associate.
