
With the countdown to the Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris underway, the event is scheduled to run from July 6 to August 23, 2026. This edition will mark the first time the tournament is hosted outside Saudi Arabia, drawing growing global attention from the esports community.
The competition will see Saudi clubs participating on one of the sport’s biggest international stages, underscoring the Kingdom’s expanding presence and influence in the global esports scene.
Faisal bin Homran, Chief Product Officer at the Esports Foundation, said the decision to stage the 2026 edition in Paris reflects Saudi Arabia’s leading role in advancing the global gaming and esports industry. He noted that the move is part of a broader vision to position the Esports World Cup as a rotating global event hosted in major cities, while maintaining Riyadh as its home base.
He further emphasized that Saudi fans will continue to play a central role in the tournament’s success, regardless of location, highlighting the strong local passion for esports that has supported the championship since its launch.
He added that preparations are progressing as planned in coordination with local and international partners, with the goal of delivering a world-class edition that meets the expectations of players, clubs, and fans worldwide.
