Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, ADNEC, today announced the appointment of Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri as ADNEC’s new Acting Group Chief Executive Officer.
ADNEC group includes Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Al Ain Conventions Centre and ExCeL London Exhibitions Centre, in addition to Hyatt Capital Gate Hotel, Aloft Abu Dhabi Hotel, Aloft ExCeL London Hotel and the IDEX and NAVDEX Exhibitions.
Announcing the appointment, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, who chairs ADNEC, Abu Dhabi Department of Transport and Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, said, “Our country’s present and future relies on young Emirati leaders who receive considerable support from our leadership, enabling them to assume senior management positions in various national organisations and take them to new heights of productivity and excellence.” Al Dhaheri’s appointment is one of the successful outcomes of ADNEC’s ambitious Emiratisation programme. “The programme focusses on attracting young Emirati talent and investing in their skill development to empower them to become tomorrow’s leaders and assumer senior management roles,” said Ali Saeed bin Harmal, Managing Director, ADNEC.
He added, “ADNEC will pursue its Emiratisation policy which currently stands at 47% as against 44% at the end of last year. The share of Emiratis in ADNEC workforce will further increase towards the end of the current year.
