Jazeera Airways company announced on Tuesday an increase of 10 percent in its total passengers from December 2013, and an on-time performance of 95 percent.
The increase in December follows the announced increase in the number of passengers in the previous month, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
The company said it saw an 18 percent increase in passengers from December 2013 on routes serving Istanbul, Beirut and Amman.
The rise was driven by an increase in demand on the route serving Amman, and the introduction of winter flights to Istanbul this year, it said, adding the airline witnessed a 7 percent rise in passengers in November 2014, in comparison to the same month of the previous year.
Passengers flying on routes serving Egypt rose by 19 percent from December 2013 despite Jazeera Airways serving five Egyptian cities during the month, compared to six cities in December 2013, the company added.
On routes serving the Gulf cities of Dubai, Bahrain, Jeddah and Riyadh, the company saw a rise of 11 percent in flown passengers, compared to December 2013. Routes serving Gulf cities have seen a parallel growth in the previous month of November 2014, with a 9 percent increase in the number of passengers from November 2013, it noted.
