His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces discussed today in a telephone conversation with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi ties of cooperation between the two countries and ways to strengthen them.
Sheikh Mohamed referred to the UAE’s special relations with Italy and the keenness of the leaderships in the two countries to further them in different domains.
The telephone conversation also touched on the recently signed agreement, under which Etihad Airways acquired a 49 percent share of Alitalia.
Sheikh Mohamed and Renzi welcomed the agreement which paves the way for future projects and a full fledged strategic partnership between the two countries. They expressed keenness to develop relations between the UAE and Italy.
