The Emirates Culinary Guild and US Meat Export Federation are launching the first US Beef virtual cooking competition in the GCC.
“I’m very excited about the competition for different reasons, firstly as with every culinary competition, it’s a learning process for every competitor and then of course the great prizes offered by our Partner the US Meat Export Federation, including trophies, books, knives, and cash prizes for the winners. A total of 40 winners in four different classes will win multiple prizes,” says President of the Emirates Culinary Guild and Culinary Advisor for Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek Chef Uwe Micheel.
“We’re excited to launch our second online competition together with US Beef and the Emirates Culinary Guild for all professional and amateur chefs in the GCC. This competition will be a great platform for young and senior chefs, and budding amateurs, to showcase their skills online. Good luck chefs and happy cooking, stay safe,” says Andy Cuthbert, chairman of the Emirates Culinary Guild and general manager for Jumeirah Creekside Hotel and Jumeirah Hospitality, Madinat Jumeirah Conferences & Events.
“I’m looking forward to a great competition, it’s always enjoyable for chefs to create recipes and work with top quality products such as US Beef. In this competition, it will be the star of every recipe, we’re expecting amazing recipes from very traditional to modern creations. It’s open to every passionate chef who is either a GCC national or resident,” adds Chef Micheel.
The competition has launched on July 7 and registration will be open for one month, through the Emirates Culinary Guild. The form will be made available on the ECG website and on its social media channels.
The Emirates Culinary Guild (ECG) is the association of professional chefs of the UAE. It’s a non-profit organisation and aims to encourage and inspire young chefs through training and competition, and enhance the UAE’s culinary prestige.
