Dubai Woodshow (DWS) is to be held from March 16 – 18, 2020, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. It will feature six country pavilions to cater to more than 7000 visitors this year.
In conjunction with Dubai International Furniture, Accessories and Components (DIFAC), the 15th edition of this prestigious event will showcase the best products and innovations of top international wood and woodworking machinery companies in Russia, Turkey, America, Canada, China, and Gabon.
“The Dubai Woodshow has become a regular feature on the calendar of our US hardwood exporting members and they see it as their annual opportunity to connect with existing contacts in the Gulf and wider Middle East region, as well as to make new ones. We hope to satisfy our members needs in providing a platform for them to showcase their products to as wide as audience as possible,” said Roderick Wiles, director of American Hardwood Export Council in Africa, Middle East, India, and Oceania.
“Each of the 17 companies in our pavilion are an exporter of American hardwood lumber or veneer, or both. To potential buyers/importers, visiting the American Hardwood Pavilion at the Dubai Woodshow is the best way to make direct contact with these suppliers and to see their products,” added Wiles..
“The global wood furniture market is expected to exceed $74bn by 2023. The woodworking machinery market worldwide is projected to increase by $961.6mn. Furniture will also bring in huge gains adding substantial force to global growth as it’s primed to reach more than $2.9bn by 2025. Thus, this is the most opportune time for stakeholders in wood, woodworking machinery and furniture accessories industries to take advantage of this event to explore abundant opportunities waiting for them,” said Dawood Al Shezawi, President of the Committee of Woodshow Global.
