Leading real estate development company, Bloom Holding, has recently announced the establishment of a new Energy Department as a division of its facilities management arm, bfm.

As part of Bloom Holding’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability, the Energy Department is set to implement an Internet-of-Things (IoT) platform with smart technologies designed to enhance the experience of owners and tenants through the creation of energy-efficient living and working environments.

This department will seek to optimise the overall energy consumption across Bloom Holding’s properties and increase the efficiency of bfm’s services across their customer portfolio. Notably, it will focus on prolonging the lifecycle of Bloom and customer assets, which will all lead to minimize the long-term cost of operations, and ultimately improve the customers’ experience through a personalised data-driven decision-making process. From energy retrofits to audits, management of operational habits and specialist asset condition troubleshooting, the department is equipped to create long term value.

Mustafa Saaid, Head of Development at Bloom Holding, said: “Through launch of the Energy Department we are adding new value streams to our customers through our continuing development of sustainable communities that improve customers’ living experience. It is another positive step forward as part of Bloom Holding’s plans to become a smart, sustainability-conscious developer. Through the Energy Department, we are delivering on our plan to be at the forefront of implementation of smart technologies in the management of buildings and communities in the region.”
