The value of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s non-oil commodity exports in October 2014 amounted to SR15,917 million, down by 12.44 % compared to the same period of 2013, while imports amounted to SR45,703 million, down by 6 % compared to the same period of 2013.
The People’s Republic of China ranked first in terms of the value of non-oil commodity exports, followed by the United Arab Emirates and Singapore, while the People’s Republic of China topped the list of countries importing non-oil commodities, the United States of America came in second place and Germany in third.
Saudi Press Agency, SPA, quoted the Central Department of Statistics and Information, CDSI, as saying in its report, that plastics and rubber products topped the list of non-oil commodity exports during October amounting to SR 5,786 million, followed by chemical industry products amounting to SR 5,122 million, and ordinary metals and their products amounting to SR 1,211 million.
According to the report, the value of the Kingdom’s imports of machinery, equipment, and electrical appliances increased by 24.20 % amounting to SR 11,060 million; transport equipment by SR 20.04 % amounting to SR 9,158 million and ordinary metals and their products by 12.72 % amounting to SR 5,813million.
