Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend on Monday adding 391.63 points (3.26%) to advance to 12,421.22 points from 12,029.59 on Sunday.
The volume of the shares traded fell to 24,720,527 from 26,106,586 on Sunday and the value of shares decreased to QR1,004,521,961.98 from QR1,259,977,420.41 Sunday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar Islamic Bank which was up 7.46% to QR103.70, Qatar Insurance gained 5.03% to QR89.80, Gulf International added 9.95% to QR96.10 and Barwa Real Estate up by 9.99% to QR42.90.
The Banking and Financial sector index was up 2.88 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index rose 1.49 points. The industrial sector was gained 2.16 points while insurance sector added 4.96 points.
