Qatar Exchange index gained points (+11.33%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday at 12,449.05 points. Trading value during this week increased by 28.41% to reach QR 4,542,531,026.21 compared to QR 3,537,644,415.73.
Trading volume increased by 25.62% to reach 103,132,364 shares, as against 82,096,818 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 16.87%, to reach 43,097 transactions as compared to 36,876 transactions. Market capitalization rose by 9.82% to reach QR 679,329,940,698.70 as compared to QR 618,599,920,766.78 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 33.19% of the total traded value. Real Estate sector accounted for 31.21%. Industries sector accounted for 17.26% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 6.26%.
Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 49.29% of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 19.65%. Telecoms sector accounted for 1.35% and Industries sector accounted for 10.08%.
Real Estate sector led traded number of transactions this week with 31.1% of the total number of transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 26.16%. Industries sector accounted for 19.03% and Telecoms sector accounted for 9.23%.
From the 43 listed companies 42 ended this week higher, while one declined. Barwa Real Estate led traded value during this week accounted for 18.72% of the total traded value. QNB accounted for 7.85%and Gulf International Services (GIS) accounted for 7.71%.
