Qatar Exchange lost 942.86 points (-7.40%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday at 11,805.32 points.
Trading value during this week decreased by 32.50% to reach QR 2,394,967,220.92 compared to QR 3,548,176,848.78. Trading volume decreased by 26.46% to reach 44,824,674 shares, as against 60,950,846 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 20.98%, to reach 28,038 transactions as compared to 35,480 transactions.
Market capitalization fell by 6.41% to reach QR 652,249,859,351.30 as compared to QR 696,898,977,331.99 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 40.27% of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 23.23%. Real Estate sector accounted for 14.20% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 8.15%.
Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 31.34% of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 24.72%. Industries sector accounted for 14.51% and Telecoms sector accounted 12.84%.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 29.43% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 25.40%. Real Estate sector accounted for 20.58% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 8.67%.
From the 43 listed companies, one ended this week higher, while 40 declined and two unchanged.
The Islamic Group led traded value this week accounted for 11.18% of the total traded value. QNB accounted for 10.53% and Gulf International Services accounted for 8.87%.
