Qatar Stock Exchange index ended in the red zone for the second consecutive day, dropping 144.65 points (-1.13%) Wednesday when the bourse closed trading at 12,612.33 points.
Indices of all sectors ended in the red zone today, barring real estate which gained slightly by 0.02% when it closed at 2,512.35 points.
Banks and finance sector index dropped the most, down -1.93% to 3,212.66 points followed by industries, down -0.60% to 4,173.64 points.
The trading value increased QR 882.11 Million from QR 716.488 Million registered Tuesday.
The trading volume declined to 10,566,340 shares from 6,699 transactions compared to 12,800,616 shares from 7,318 transactions on Tuesday.
From the 43 listed companies, shares of 41 exchanged hands today. From these, 24 declined, 12 gained and five remained unchanged.
Qatar National Bank share dipped QR 6.70 (-3.11%) when it closed at QR 209. Qatar Islamic Bank closed at QR 99.20, (-3.69%).
