The Qatar Exchange gained 86.43 points or 0.73 percent as it closed Wednesday at 11,898.18 points from the previous closing of 11,811.75.
The volume of shares traded rose to 12,130,974 from 11,647,353 yesterday, and the value of shares increased to QR514,955,039.67 from QR475,862,718.96.
Among the top gainers were Qatar Islamic Bank whose share gained 1.20 percent to QR 101.40 and Commercial Bank with 0.80 percent gain to rise to QR 66.30 per share. Masraf Al Rayan was up 0.85 percent to QR 41.60 and Doha Bank rose 0.70 percent to QR 54.70.
The industries sector topped 0.96 percent to 3,976.81 points while banking and services sector up 0.26 percent to 3.089.68 points. Telecom sector was down 0.86 percent to 1,396.07 points while consumer good and service sector added 1.08 percent to 6,945.01 points.
