
Qatar Exchange gained 161.67 points (+1.33 percent) as it closed Tuesday at 12,279.37 points up from the previous closing of 12,117.70.
The volume of shares traded increased to 16,304,613 from 8,446,270 on Monday, and the value of shares rose to QR780,167,794.65 from QR468,017,544.46.
Among the top gainers were United Development Company whose share was up 3.01 percent to QR 24.98 and Vodafone Qatar with a 4.05 percent added to QR 15.92 per share. Nakilat gained 0.79 percent to QR 24.09 and Qatar Electricity and Water Company dropped by 0.15 percent to QR 195.20.
Banking and financial services sector was up 1.11 percent to 3,235.53 points while industries sector added 1.76 percent 3,967.41 points. Real estate sector added 1.93 percent to 2,329.65 points and transportation sector gained 0.77 percent to 2,397.68 points.
