Qatar Exchange index gained 17.34 points (+0.15%) this week when the bourse closed at 11,772.08 points. Trading value during this week decreased by 0.61% to reach QR 1,399,778,233.47 compared to QR 1,408,349,712.02.
Trading volume decreased by 1.57% to reach 39,753,945 shares, as against 40,386,962 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 2.67%, to reach 21,121 transactions as compared to 21,701 transactions. Market capitalization rose by 0.23% to reach QR 617,919,897,461.95 as compared to QR 616,481,427,110.81 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 31.29% of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 23.33%. Real Estate sector accounted for 18.82% and Telecoms sector accounted for 13.13%.
Real Estate sector led traded volume this week with 28.09% of the total traded volume. Telecoms sector accounted for 26.33%. The Banks and Financial Services sector ranked third, accounting for 20.04%, and Industries sector accounted for 13.61%.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 28.14% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 27.57%. Real Estate sector accounted for 15.87% and Telecoms sector accounted for 12.70%.
From the 43 listed companies 21 ended this week higher, while 19 fell and three unchanged. Vodafone Qatar led trading value during this week accounted for 10.61% of the total traded value. Masraf Al Rayan accounted for 9.73% and Industries Qatar accounted for 7.99%.
