Qatar Exchange Index Gains 167.07 Points

Qatar Exchange index gained 167.07 points (+1.35%) when trading closed Tuesday afternoon at 12,549.28 points.
The traded value reached QR 669,359,135.08 with a volume of 20,900,316 shares from 8,448 transactions.

From the 42 companies, 34 made gains, six went down and two remained unchanged today.
Qatari individual investors bought a volume of 12,081,131 shares of 39 companies for a traded value of QR 339,326,301.33 or 50.69%.
Qatari individual investors sold a volume of 13,010,030 shares of 40 companies for a traded value of QR 408,031,701.08 or 60.96%.

Qatari institutional investors bought a volume of 2,753,402 shares of 32 companies for a traded value of QR 117,049,009.04 or 17.49%.
Qatari institutional investors sold a volume of 1,986,070 shares of 27 companies for a traded value of QR 67,943,138.62 or 10.15%.
Real estate companies saw hectic trading today. Ezdan Holding, Mazaya Qatar, Barwa and United Development Company ended the day in the green zone.

With a traded volume of 9,022,270 shares from 2,621 transactions the real estate sector turnover reached QR 212,181,081.69 today.
Ezdan Holding made substantial gains, up +7.02% to close at QR 23.49 from Monday’s closing at QR 21.95.

Ezdan topped all companies in terms of traded value with QR 150,568,284 with a substantial volume of 6,458,856 shares from 1,741 transactions.
From the banking and financial services sector Rayan made fair gains, up 3.59% to QR 52 per share from Monday’s closing at QR 50.20.

Rayan’s value reached QR 119,935,074 with a traded volume of 2,316,294 shares from 1,119 transactions.
Qatar National Bank (+1.74%), Qatar Islamic Bank (+2.89%), CBQ (+0.77) and Doha Bank (+1.06%)also made gains today.
