Price of Kuwait crude oil per barrel rose by USD 1.15 to stand at USD 55.06 pb in Thursday’s trading, compared to USD 53.91 a day before, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) on Friday.
Oil prices rose directly following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s remarks on his county’s economy and the decline of the ruble. Brent crude for February’s delivery went up by 3.07 percent to stand at USD 58.54 pb on Thursday.
The US dollar price also shot up after Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said that the US monetary policy would be unchanged.
