Ahmad Mohammed Mubarak, Chairman of the Board of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has underlined U.A.E.’s keenness to support and enhance its economic relations with all sisterly and friendly countries through the policy of a market economy, open markets, the diversify of sources income, the expansion of the productive base and providing the necessary basic environment for broad economic development in all sectors.
Mr. Ahmad made his remarks during his meeting with Mrs. Maha Mohammed Al Abed, Economic Adviser at the Sudanese Embassy to the U.A.E., who was accompanied by Essam Abdel Rahman, Deputy Consul- General of the Consulate General of Sudan in Dubai, in the presence of Khalid Mohammed Al Jassim, Director- General of the Chamber.
The two sides discussed economic and trade relations between the U.A.E. and Sudan in general and ways to support joint action between businessmen in Fujairah and Sudan.
Chairman Board of Fujairah Chamber praised the existing level of growth in the economic relations between the U.A.E. and Sudan, pointing out that these relations have achieved remarkable progress, and past few years have seen a development in all aspects based on economic partnerships led to upgrading of the size of trade exchange and increasing investment activity between the two countries.
He noted that last year the trade exchange between the two sides was over AED 21.69 million.
During the meeting, Al Jassim stressed the Chamber’s keenness to communicate with businessmen in Sudan, referring to the importance of participation in exhibitions and conferences held in both countries.
For her part, the Sudanese Economic Adviser praised the steady growth of relations between the U.A.E. and Sudan, noting that the U.A.E. investments have contributed to laying the foundations of economic development in Sudan.
