Dolphin Marine Group, the UAE based and regional leader in maritime safety equipment and services, has successfully participated in this month’s Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS). This marks the first time in which Dolphin Marine will take part in the show, further solidifying the company’s growing presence within the industry.
Playing host to over 450 international companies, and more than 30,000 attendees, EGYPS has established itself a gateway to the North African and Mediterranean’s oil & gas market. The regionally renowned event is scheduled to take place from 11–13 of February at the Egypt International Exhibition Center.
Commenting on the company’s first-time participation, Eng.Hussein El Bagouri, Managing Director of Dolphin Marine Group stated, “Whether it be upstream, midstream or downstream, EGYPS is known for being a solid platform that fosters growth within the Egyptian and North African hydrocarbon sectors. With that said, we look forward to contributing to this development, alongside the multitude of companies that will be showcasing new projects, technologies, products and services.”
Emphasizing Safety to Achieve Sustainability
With the oil and gas industry currently in the midst of a clean energy transition, EGYPS’ theme of ‘Delivering the Energy Needs of Tomorrow’ is as timely as it is fitting. Similarly, Dolphin Marine’s adept capabilities, paired with its specialized safety products and services, equips the company to more than adequately lend assistance to this ongoing industry transformation.
El Bagouri clarified saying, “Internationally, the oil and gas industry is steadily advancing its efforts to achieve greater sustainability. In regards to this, safety is an aspect of particular importance, and it is also one of the primary pillars which Dolphin Marine operates under the basis of. Thus, we are excited to bring this expertise forth and take part in collaborating towards making the industry more sustainable. Additionally, we look forward to tackling challenges, developing solutions, and figuring out where else Dolphin Marine can be of service in this industrywide shift.”
Doubling Down on Egyptian Origins
Since its inception in Alexandria, Egypt in 1977, Dolphin Marine has flourished by emphasizing quality, consistency and customer satisfaction. This blueprint proved effective, allowing the company to expand outside of Egypt and establish a second branch in Dubai, UAE in 2012. Witnessing beyond satisfactory success, Dolphin Marine capitalized on the opportunity to further expand across the Middle East and Africa in 2019, when it launched Dolphin Marine Speedboats back in its homeland of Egypt.
El Bagouri expressed his enthusiasm saying, “The launch of Dolphin Marine Speedboats was a milestone achievement that reinforces the successful realization of our unending ambitions. Moreover, we are extremely grateful of the opportunity to incept Dolphin Marine Speedboats in the same stomping grounds where Dolphin Marine Group first began making a name for itself. Egypt is an especially invaluable market for all Dolphin Marine related business, as we supply our safety products and services to ports all across the region. Thus, this new extension of our organization will add another dimension to our business which will accordingly help us better serve the market.”
Relying on its foundational roots, Dolphin Marine is optimistic that it’s involvement in EGYPS 2020 will be of mutual benefit. Despite Dolphin Marine Speedboats and EGYPS being a part of two different domains, the company sees numerous points of common interest as a result of both maritime and offshore often operating adjacently. El Bagouri commented saying, “EGYPS is known for uniting key industry stakeholders from Africa, MENA and the Mediterranean. Many of these individuals and entities are as prominent in oil and gas, as they are in maritime.”
He further added, “As a result, we are certain that EGYPS’s diverse platform will allow us to network with existing and potential clients. This is vital for strengthening our business relationships, as well as in formulating new strategic ones. With EGYPS having proven to be reliable for spurring economic growth and attracting large masses, we eagerly anticipate being a part of this year’s show so that we may ultimately play a major role in developing Egypt, the extended region, and beyond.”
