  1. Could you kindly elaborate on the objective behind your participation in the World Police Summit?

The World Police Summit is a global platform that brings together law enforcement agencies, technology providers, and industry experts to discuss and showcase innovative solutions for public safety and security. Through our participation in the World Police Summit, we had an opportunity to exhibit our advanced solutions and products to all attendees. We showcased our range products such as TETRA and LTE convergent communications, emergency communications, body camera and evidence management, and control room, at the Summit. Our key goal was to establish good communication with the participants, as well as leverage the opportunity to reinforce our network and connect with experts in the field. We anticipate the summit to serve as an active platform for us to engage with our customers and partners in meaningful discussions that would help us enhance the quality of our new solutions. We would also like to express our gratitude to Dubai Police for organising this exhibition.

2. Could you share with us some of the your on-going projects in this region?

Currently, we have two projects in the pipeline in Abu Dhabi, one with the Abu Dhabi Police and the other with Abu Dhabi Customs. Both organisations have chosen to work with High-Tech Electronics for their body-worn camera solutions. Two years back, the UAE government mandated all police officers on duty to carry body-worn cameras while patrolling and Abu Dhabi Police chose our products to meet the requirements, which made them our first client in the UAE. We are currently focused on working closely with our clients and delivering best-in-class services to help them meet their requirements. Our major target is forging a long-term relationship with our clients in Abu Dhabi and innovating our services to meet their ever-evolving requirements.

3. Can you share your views about the critical communications industry today, including new trends and challenges, and how you plan to move forward?

At present, the industry is undergoing a massive transformation. One of the most prominent trends that we can witness in the industry is a shift from narrowband to broadband communication. Additionally, we have been seeing a convergence in communication methods, where narrowband and broadband are coming together in more advanced and efficient ways. On the other hand, one of the most pressing challenges we are facing now is keeping up with the pace of technological advancements and to staying agile amid the changing market conditions. In order to gain an edge in the market, we have to adapt quickly to changes and provide our customers with the most innovative solutions. We further aim at increasing our investment in research and development. We are also focused on developing a resilient relationship with our wide customer base and partners to support them in realising their objectives.

4. What are Hytera’s future plans?

As part of our future plans, our regional team plans to boost investments in the Middle East region. We have established a new office in Dubai to handle our business in the entire Middle East and Africa region. We are also planning to enhance our research and development capabilities and explore the potential of new technologies like artificial intelligence and their effective application in our products. Above all, our key is goal to provide customers with best-in-class support by leveraging innovative and technologically advanced solutions.
