Save Beirut, a Dubai hospitality initiative, has announced that a total of AED 1,171,686 were raised in one day to help rebuild the city and care for those who were affected by the blast.
Eighty-four restaurants, cafés, fast food outlets and delivery platforms across the emirate joined forces for one of the biggest charitable campaigns that the region has ever seen.
With a collaborative approach, the initiative brought Dubai’s hospitality industry and entire ecosystem together to support the important cause, and celebrate the influence of Lebanese culture and the impact it has on the sector.
Coordinated by 7 Management, the Save Beirut board was made up of well-respected regional organisations, including Al Tamimi & Company as legal partners, Garage 366 as the Marketing & Communications partner and Reserve Out for brand on-boarding.
Save Beirut is licensed under the Emirates Red Crescent, the UAE affiliate of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies; the organisation oversees all charitable donations.
