This March, Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas is delighted to welcome a very special guest to host two exclusive wine and dine events.
Known among her friends and acquaintances as Khun Nuch, Nutawan Jumpanak is Anantara Siam Bangkok’s first ever female Head Sommelier. It is fitting then that Khun Nuch will be celebrating the rising role of women in this previously male-dominated world by hosting an exclusive Women’s Day Dinner and Wine Pairing event at Anantara Kihavah’s Spice Restaurant on March 8, as well as a pioneering ‘wine tasting beneath the waves’ experience at the award-winning SEA underwater restaurant and wine cellar on March 7.
In addition to being the Chief Sommelier of Anantara and Avani Bangkok properties, Khun Nuch is also a former Thailand Sommelier Championship winner and is currently taking part in the World Sommelier Championship. During her visit to the Maldives, Khun Nuch will be guest hosting two exclusive events.
On March 7, Khun Nuch will host Underwater Wine Tasting at Sea Restaurant where she will be presenting 3 exclusive labels to 12 guests in this exclusive event. Then on March 8, in celebration of Women’s Day and women’s empowerment, a five-course wine dinner at Spice Restaurant will feature the finest Asian cuisine, paired with fine wines. In addition to Khun Nuch overseeing the wine pairing, the dinner menu will also feature specialties curated by the resort’s in-house female Asian Sous Chef, Chef Noon. Apart from celebrating the rising roles of women in such high-profile wining and dining experiences, this event also celebrates the many wonderful, empowered women around the world, including the female guests in attendance at this exclusive event.
Guests can indulge in Underwater Wine Tasting with Khun Nuch starting from USD 145, and the 5-course wine dinner at Spice on Women’s Day starting from USD 245, with all prices on a per-person basis. Villas start from USD 1,500 per night. For bookings, visit www.anantara.com/kihavah-maldives.
