The UAE is to participate in the fifth edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, GES, being hosted in Marrakesh, Morocco, from 20th to 21st of November.

Morocco was selected from among 50 other African countries, which signifies the immense development the country has reached. It is also a recognition from the US government that Morocco is an ideal, sustainable entrepreneurship door for the rest of the African states and countries.

The UAE delegation will be led by Juma Mohammed Al Kait, Assistant Under-Secretary for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, and includes representatives from public and private authorities.

At least 3,000 entrepreneurs, high-ranking government officials, heads of state and young entrepreneurs from all over the world will get together at the major global platform to empower entrepreneurs with the skills and resources necessary to compete and thrive in the 21st Century, to trade ideas and experiences, to open up to the world, find out about new opportunities and conclude sound alliances between economic operators of the world.

Al Kait said, “The Summit focuses on the recruitment of technical innovation and entrepreneurship service, which is consistent with the UAE government strategy designed to encourage innovation in various fields and support entrepreneurship, particularly among the young generation, thus achieving its vision to access a national sustainable economy based on knowledge and innovation.” AL Kait confirmed that the UAE is one of the fastest countries transforming to a knowledge economy, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Economy to reach a solid national economy where the younger generation is able to look to the future and the advancement of the country according to the UAE’s Vision 2021.
