Turkish delegates visit HFZA to discuss mutual cooperation

Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamiryah Free Zone Authority, HFZA, has invited Turkish companies to utilise the logistic advantages of the free zones and expand to the region.

A delegation of Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MUSIAD) from Turkey held a meeting with Mr. Al Mazrouei, who is also Director Sharjah Airport Free Zone (SAIF Zone), at the HFZA headquarters.

The delegation was comprised of Serdar F. Kumbaraci, Commercial Attache of the Consulate-General of the Republic of Turkey in Dubai, Ali Ali Avci, Assistant Commercial Attache of the Consulate-General and Gazi Misirli, Presidential Representative of MUSIAD.

Ali Al Jarwan, Sales and Marketing Manager and Abdul Aziz Dawood, Senior Sales Executive of HFZA was also present.

Al Mazrouei, who discussed the bilateral trade cooperation between HFZA and Turkish companies, also invited MUSIAD, which contributes 15 percent to Turkey’s GDP, to utilise the logistic advantages of the free zones and expand to the region.

“We are happy to cooperate with MUSIAD through Consulate-General of Turkey in the U.A.E.,” Al Mazrouei added.

Serdar F. Kumbaraci assured cooperation and support for HFZA and SAIF Zone in the future.

“HFZA has been dealing with several Turkish companies for many years and both of our zones have a keen interest in investors from Turkey, ” said Al Mazrouei, and added, “MUSIAD is a non-governmental, non-profit and voluntary-based businessmen’s association with 5,500 members who represent over 15,000 companies.

Established in 1990, MUSIAD has 33 branch-offices all over Turkey with 113 allied contact points in 46 countries.
