Qatar Chamber for Commerce and Industry here today discussed trade and investment exchange with a visiting Greek delegation from the Arab-Greek Chamber of Commerce.
QCCI Vice Chairman Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Tawar Al Kuwari said the two sides are interested in developing bilateral ties in investment, pointing to the exchanged visits of Qatari and Greek officials, which reflect keenness on strengthening cooperation.
He added that Qatar’s private sector wants to benefit from the good ties between the two countries, noting that Qatari businessmen are keen on exploring investment opportunities in Greece, especially in the sectors of infrastructure, health and industry. He said the Greek delegation’s visit is a proper platform to discuss cooperation between private sectors in both countries.
Al Kuwari said he hopes the visit will result in fruitful outcome for the two sides, urging them to take advantage of the good relations between Qatar and Greece.
Qatar and Greece had a trade exchange of around 46 million euro in 2013 as Greece imported 21.9 million euro worth of goods and services from Qatar while exports to the latter amounted to 24.3 million euro.
