The first batch of students of the Electrical Engineering Department, the Faculty of Engineering and Petroleum, Kuwait University, left for China on Friday evening to attend a training course at the premises of Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. in Shenzhen province.
The course is being organized under an agreement inked by dean of the faculty Dr. Hussein Al-Khayyat and Huawei representatives on June 26, said Dr. Mona Al-Basman, supervisor of the team, in statements to KUNA.
“The team is made up of 10 excellent students, males and females,” she said, voicing hope that they will make the best use of the field training course, which takes place in one of the most industrialized countries of the world.
“The team will visit Beijing before proceeding to Shenzhen,” Dr. Al-Basman pointed out.
She thanked Huawei for shouldering its corporate social responsibility and providing this chance to Kuwaiti students, and Dr. Al-Khayyat for his constant rehabilitation of the students ahead of their joining of the labor market.
